We got it all done!

Yep, every single bit of painting in our new house is done, WOOOOHOOOOOO! First thing this morning we finally got to close on our house, can I get another WOOOOOHOOOOO! I took the kids to swim lessons and then went to the house and got to work. Seven other women, friends, and 1 young man from my church helped me paint. It only took about 4 hours to get 6 rooms painted 8 different colors. And it's all done! I have to say we have the best group of people at our church, they rock! Seriously, for those of you who like to paint, you have no idea what a blessing it is for a paint hater like me to have it all done in one day!

Tomorrow a few of us are heading back to clean the house really well and then it will be ready for us to move stuff in. I honestly cannot believe we actually own the house and are getting ready to move in, I thought this day would never come! Now that it is here, I am exhausted, but very happy!

What did I get myself into!

Since we are closing on the house Monday, my friend and I went and measured the windows and rooms and purchased paint and looked at window treatments. Ok, first let me say that I HATE to paint. I really didn't want to paint, but my friends all said they would come and help, and that I should do it before we move in, etc. Which I know is the smart way to do it, but I am just so ready to get my life back together and be moved that I really don't care if I do paint or not. Anyway I decided to take them up on their offer and off we went.

We bought 8 gallons of paint, but I have been looking through some of the samples we brought home and am kind of having buyers remorse, so I may be going back to the store Monday and getting some other colors as well. I have a very hard time deciding on paint colors, it gives me a headache and I spend way too much time obsessing about it. The dining room/living room have already been painted and we like the colors so they are good, but every single other room in the house that we will actually "live" in will get painted, not painting like the utility room and stuff. I am soooo dreading this week. I really don't even know if we can get all the painting done, and I know by day 2 I will be miserable. I guess it will be a learning experience!

And of course we will do any cleaning that needs to be done, YUK! I really am thankful to have a home finally, and I need to focus on that other than sounding like an ungrateful, lazy person, lol! As soon as we close, I will try to figure out how to post some pics!

I think we might actually close this time!

So our closing date is this Monday at 9:00, and it looks like we all can make it this time, wooo hooo! It will be so nice to have all this done. We also got the lot sold today which is another worry off our chest, yeah! We will have until the 17th to get out, which is nice. So tomorrow the plan is to take a friend over to the house, measure windows and rooms, and go pick out paint and blinds. Then after we close on Monday, get all the painting done next week! It will be so good to have it all done and actually be moved in, it seems like that day will never come.

We went to Holiday World this week. It is a theme park about 3 hours away from here. Honestly it wasn't that much fun with 2 little ones in tow, but we got through it. I am glad Kayleigh got to go though.

Will post again when the house is ours!

Delays!

We were supposed to close on the house on the 17th. That got postponed because the insurance guy wasn't ready. We tentatively rescheduled it for next Monday the 23, the loan people can't make it to that. So now it is (hopefully) rescheduled for June 30. I don't think we will ever move, ahhhhhh! I feel very bad because every time there is a change, it means extra work for the closing people, I know it isn't my fault, but it still is very stressful! If only I was one of those people who didn't eat when they were stressed. Unfortunately I am a stress eater, darn the luck!

I'm Done!

With being fat, that is. I am finally tired enough of this extra 30 pounds to want to do something about it. With my first 2 kids I got skinny quick after delivering them. I don't know what it is, I guess the third baby and being 34, but the weight didn't just fall off of me after having her. Up until now I didn't care. I enjoyed eating a whole box of fudge rounds or a bag of cheetos. Well today I started to care and I am going to lose this dang weight! Changing my eating habits is soooo hard for me. As a teenager and even to my early 30's I could eat anything and any amount I wanted and not gain weight, well that ship has sailed and I am in trouble cause I loooooove to eat! Something's gotta give. So today is the first day of me actually trying to lose some weight, we'll see! Losing weight sucks, but so does feeling bad about your body, I have to decide what is more important to me, my snacks or my self image. Here I go!

This n That

Not much going on here, just seem to be in limbo. Waiting on everything to finally be wrapped up with the house, the lot and the contents.

It is very hot, so the kids and I went swimming today. Gabe uses a swim ring and can kick all over the pool in it. Well he put the rind just around his head and started to get in the water, I told him he can't wear it that way and not to get in like that. About 5 minutes later I look up and you guessed it, he went off the bottom of the ladder with the ring just around his head. Of course he went right under. I quickly got in the pool and pulled him out, it was kind of funny though, his eyes were as big as marbles, and he kept jumping and flapping his arms and his head would bounce up and down through the middle of the ring. He was fine, and even got right back in the water wearing the ring the right way, I really thought he would be scared, but he did great.

Gwen is teething and is grumpy! She isn't sleeping well, and is running a fever. I KNOW teething is not supposed to cause a fever, but I have taken her to the doctor last week and today, thinking she might have an ear infection and nada! The teeth have barely broken through so I hope she is feeling better soon.

This is a busy month, but it makes me kind of sad because by the time June is over, then July is starting to fill up and before you know it summer is over and Kayleigh will be back in school again! I just really wanted to have a slow lazy summer that I could spend alot of time with the kids swimming and just goofing off, but part of it at least will be filled with moving, ahhh! Just need to enjoy what I can!
